The night of museums in Rome

The night of museums is back: in contemporary with over 30 European countries, museums and cultural spaces, Rome will host many events including art shows, music, dance, theatre, cinema, readings and guided tours. By paying the symbolic 1 € ticket you can visit permanent and temporary exhibitions in the involved museums, visit extraordinary archaeological sites normally closed to the public, attend live shows hosted in cultural sites and explore academies, libraries, foreign cultural institutions, universities and more.

Banksy: War, Capitalism & Liberty

“War, Capitalism and Liberty” is the title of the biggest exhibition ever dedicated to Banksy, the legendary street artist of Bristol. 150 of selected works: original paintings, prints, record covers and sculptures, all from private collections. The exhibition will reveal his artistic vision concerning the international social and political events of the last years. 

Banksy hugely influenced the artistic scene worldwide and is considered the most important exponent of Street Art. He’s one of the most discussed and praised figures of our times, whose concealed identity internationally attracted people’s interest since the 90s.

Orvieto in Fiore: a city as a flower carpet

Rose petals at the Pantheon

The traditional deluge of rose petals falling down through the Pantheon’s “Eye in the sky”, the 9 meters oculus radiating rays of sunshine, will take place in Rome on Sunday 15 May in occasion of the feast of Pentecost. This is an old tradition that, after being suspended for centuries, was finally restored in 1995. A spectacular sight not to be missed!

Alphonse Mucha - Art Exhibition in Rome

Combining images of seductive women with innovative typographic layouts, Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939) was one of the most important artist over ‘800 and ‘900. He created innovative paintings and a new genre of figurative art in Paris of Belle Èpoque, becoming a real icon of Art Noveau. 
Organized by Tomoko Sato, curator of Alphonse Mucha Foundation since 2007, the exhibition hosts more than 200 among paintings, posters, drawings, jewels and ornamental works, travelling the entire creative path of the most important representative of the Art Noveau.
