In occasion of the festivity of Saint Peter and Paul, patron of Rome, on the 29 June will take place the traditional “Girandola”, a fireworks show at Piazza del Popolo with a classic music background.
This tradition was born on 1481, invented by the Pope Sixtus V and proposed again for the next years to celebrate important events like Easter or the proclamation of the new Pope, until 1871. It attracted people from all over Europe and from every social background.
